Pickled Beets Recipe
Pickled beets is a spiced homemade beet pickle recipe prepared with equal pats if water and vinegar. Combined and cooked together the mixture is used for pickling the beets. It can be served on the side as a condiment.
Ingredients
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 2 cups cooked or canned julienne cut or sliced beets | ||
Directions
Combine all ingredients except beets; heat to boiling; pour over beets.
Chill 6 hours.
Drain, and serve.
Garnish with tiny pickled onions, if desired.
