Ingredients

 1 pound ground beef or ground pork or a combination
 Onion1 Medium, chopped
 Vegetable oil1 Tablespoon
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), crushed
 Cinnamon1 Teaspoon
 Cumin seed1/4 Teaspoon
 Pinch of ground cloves
 Tomatoes2 Large, chopped
 Cider vinegar2 Tablespoon
 Raisins1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Almonds1/2 Cup (16 tbs), slivered

Directions

In a large saucepan, brown meat and onion in oil over high heat.
Drain off excess fat.
Add garlic, cinnamon, cumin and cloves.
Stir and cook 1 minute.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes.
