Ingredients

 1 kg pomfret, filleted and marinated in salt and lime juice
 Onions2 Large
 Juice of 1 lime
 3 cups coconut milk, extracted from 1 1/2 coconuts
 1 1/2 tbsp tamarind soaked in 1 cup hot water
 25 dry Goa or Kashmiri red chillies
 Garlic14 Clove (5gm) (Grind together:)
 Cumin seeds2 Teaspoon (Grind together:)

Directions

Put onions, ground spices, coconut milk and strained tamarind juice in a pan.
Mix well and bring to boil.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
The consistency should be that of thick milk.
Strain and add fish.
Simmer till fish is cooked.
Cool completely and reheat gently before serving.
