Petite Marmite Recipe

Ingredients
2 tablespoons shortening
2 pounds beef in 1 piece
1 pound chicken wings
1 onion stuck with 3 cloves
3 medium-size leeks, white parts only
3 small ribs celery
2 cups diced white turnips
2 carrots, diced
1 cup diced potatoes
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
6 peppercorns
4 cups beef broth
Directions
Heat shortening in cooker and brown meat on all sides.
Put rest of ingredients in cooker in order given.
Close cover and put pressure contrql in place.
When pressure is reached and control jiggles, cook for 30 minutes.
Allow cooker to cool naturally.
When pressure is fully reduced, open cooker and remove meat and chicken wings.
Slice the meat and put a slice in each soup bowl, with vegetables and broth over it.
Serve.
