Petaled Honey Ring Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 packages refrigerated butterflake dinner rolls
 
3 tablespoons currants
 
3 teaspoons grated lemon rind
 
3 tablespoons honey
 
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions

1. Separate each package of rolls to make 24 even pieces. Place 12 pieces in a well buttered 7-cup ring mold to make an even layer. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the currants and 1 teaspoon of the lemon rind over layer, then drizzle 1 tablespoon each of the honey and melted butter or margarine over.
2. Make two more layers the same way; place remaining rolls on top. Drizzle remaining butter over.
3. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 25 minutes, or until firm and golden. Loosen at once around edge with knife; invert onto a serving plate. Let stand 10 minutes. To serve, pull off layers with two forks; serve warm.
