Perfect Meringue Basic is the apt recipe to tickle your taste buds. The famous Perfect Meringue Basic is served at the French table as a yummy Dessert. I am certain both of us will concur that this Perfect Meringue Basic is simply scrumptious.
Ingredients
1/2 cup egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup icing sugar
Pinch of cream of tartar
2 drops of vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 250 °F (120 °C).
In a large mixer bowl, mix all ingredients, except vanilla extract.
(Make sure bowl is quite dry and that no particles of egg yolk remain in whites.) At maximum speed, beat 3-5 minutes or until meringue rises and soft peaks form.
Add vanilla extract.
At low speed, mix 7 minutes or until meringue is smooth, glossy and stiff.
Form into rosettes, spirals or cups.
