Perfect Apple Pie Recipe
Perfect Apple Pie is a very interesting pie recipe. Most of my friends and almost all of my neighbors describe this Perfect Apple Pie recipe of mine as a Goldie-oldie. Best when made with sweet baking apples!
Ingredients
6-7 sweet baking apples
1/2 cup (120 ml) sugar
2 tbs (30 ml) all-purpose flour
2 tbs (30 ml) Jerusalem Artichoke Flour
1/2-1 tsp (3-5 ml) cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
Dash salt
2 tbs (30 ml) butter
2 9-inch pie crusts
Directions
Pare apples and slice thin.
Combine sugar, flours, spices and salt; mix with apples.
Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry, fill with apple mixture, dot with butter.
Adjust top crust and sprinkle with granulated sugar for sparkle, if desired.
Bake in hot 400°F (205°C) oven for 50-60 minutes.
