Peppery Cod Steaks Recipe
The taste of this particular Peppery Cod Steaks recipe has occupied my senses so much that I hardly ever go for any other recipe of Peppery Cod Steaks. Ingredients
1 small onion, chopped
1 small red pepper, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons salad oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
6 small cod steaks, each 1/2 inch thick
Directions
1. In 1-quart casserole or bowl, combine onion, red pepper, celery, chili sauce, salad oil, crushed red pepper, salt, and garlic powder; cover with casserole lid or large plate. Cook at high (100% power) 6 to 8 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes, until vegetables are tender. Stir sauce, then cover and cook at medium (50% power) 3 minutes to blend flavors.
2. Arrange fish steaks in 13" by 9" baking dish;
cover dish with waxed paper. Cook at medium high (70% power) 9 to 10 minutes, just until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, rotating dish a half turn after 4 minutes.
