Peppery Chicken Wings Recipe
Ingredients
16 chicken wings
1 teaspoon peanut or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/2 small yellow onion, grated
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
Directions
Preheat the broiler.
Separate the chicken wings at the joint and remove and discard the wing tips.
In a medium size bowl, combine the peanut oil and cayenne pepper; add the chicken wings and turn until well coated.
Place the chicken wings on the broiler pan rack and broil about 8 inches from the heat, turning occasionally, until crisp and golden about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the dip.
In a medium size bowl, whisk together the yogurt, buttermilk, blue cheese, onion, and vinegar; transfer to a small serving bowl.
Set the dip in the center of a warm large round platter and arrange the broiled chicken wings around it.
