Peppered Cheese Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground red pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Romano cheese | 2 Tablespoon, grated | |
| 2/3 cup nonfat buttermilk | ||
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
Combine buttermilk and oil; add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon flour evenly over work surface.
Turn dough out onto floured surface, and knead 3 or 4 times.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place rounds on an ungreased baking sheet; lightly coat tops with cooking spray.
Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until golden.
