Pepper Garlic Steak Recipe
The pepper steak is a round steak prepared along with green peppers. Cooked in a skillet the pepper steak is flavored with garlic and onions along with monosodium glutamate. Seasoned to taste, the pepper steak is simmered to finish and can be served with simple fried rice.
Ingredients
| 1 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in serving pieces | ||
| Pepper | 1 | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Garlic powder to taste | ||
| Monosodium glutamate to taste | ||
| Fat | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onions | 2 Medium, thinly sliced | |
| Green peppers | 2 Medium, diced | |
Directions
Sprinkle steak with pepper, salt, garlic powder and monosodium glutamate.
Melt fat in heavy skillet; add onions and meat.
Cook over medium heat, turning frequently, until browned.
Add green peppers and enough water to half cover meat.
Cover pan; reduce heat.
Simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender, adding more water if necessary.
