Pepper Steak Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless steak, cut into thin strips
1/2 cup chopped onions
3 tablespoons salad oil
2 cups beef bouillon
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 can mushrooms
2 green peppers, sliced
1 can pineapple tidbits, optional
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Brown the meat and onions in hot oil in large skillet.
Gradually stir in bouillon; simmer until meat is tender.
Add water chestnuts, mushrooms, and peppers.
If using pineapple, drain and add it, too.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Blend cornstarch with soy sauce and water.
Add to meat; stir constantly until slightly thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
This is especially good served on a bed of hot rice.
