Pepper Steak Recipe
Pour this Pepper Steak over a bowl of steaming rice and enjoy a blissful lunch ! Do add the pineapple tidbits to your basic Pepper Steak and I'm sure you'll love it! Do you have any suggestions?
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless steak, cut into thin strips
1/2 cup chopped onions
3 tablespoons salad oil
2 cups beef bouillon
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 can mushrooms
2 green peppers, sliced
1 can pineapple tidbits (optional)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Brown the meat and onions in hot oil in large skillet.
Gradually stir in bouillon, simmer until meat is tender.
Add water chestnuts, mushrooms, and peppers.
If using pineapple, drain and add it, too.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Blend cornstarch with soy sauce and water.
Add to meat, stir constantly until slightly thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
This is especially good served on a bed of hot rice.
