Pepper Steak With Herbs Recipe

Ingredients

 
Chuck steak, 1 1/2 inches thick
 
2 tbsp. unseasoned tenderizer
 
2 tbsp. instant minced onion
 
2 tsp. thyme
 
1 tsp. marjoram
 
1 crushed bay leaf
 
1 c. wine vinegar or 1/2 c. regular vinegar
 
1/2 c. olive or salad oil
 
3 tbsp. lemon juice
 
2 tbsp. bottled crushed pepper

Directions

Prick the steak and sprinkle with tenderizer.
Prepare marinade sauce with remaining ingredients.
Marinate steak for 2 hours; do not refrigerate.
Cook over charcoal for 15 minutes on each side, basting often.
Cut in slices across the grain and serve.
