Pepper Anchovy Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
| Cream cheese | 75 Gram | |
| Anchovy fillets - 1 x 50 g/2 oz can , drained and | ||
| Finely chopped the following- | ||
| Canned pimento - 1 cap, finely chopped | ||
| Soured cream - 2 x 15 ml spoons/2 tablespoons | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| White bread, crusts removed - 16 slices | ||
| Melted butter, to finish | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a large bowl, place the ingredients except the bread and butter and beat well
2. Spread this mixture on top of the bread and roll them up
3. Cut each roll into half.
4. Brush with melted butter and under a hot grill (broiler) until golden
5. These rolls can be frozen for later use by packing them in a rigid container. Separate the rolls with foil and label the container
SERVING
6. Serve immediately grilled
7. Remove the frozen rolls and let them thaw for 2 hours and serve as in step 7
