Directions

Boil together all ingredients, (except vanilla & nuts), to soft ball stage, (240 degrees), stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Remove from heat, let cool for a few minutes, then beat rapidly until mixture begins to stiffen.
Pour into a butter pan to cool.
