| 1 small head cabbage, cut in 1 1/2 inch wedges | ||
| Flour | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Caraway seed | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 4 small tart red apples, cored and cut in 1/2 inch rings | ||
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Fryer chicken | 1 Pound | |
| Cider vinegar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |

| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon, melted | |
Directions
1. Arrange cabbage on bottom of a 2-quart shallow casserole; sprinkle with 1 teaspoon flour and the caraway seed.
2. Top with apple rings; sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon flour.
3. Arrange chicken pieces, skin side up, on top of cabbage-apple mixture. Pour a mixture of the vinegar and salt over chicken; pour melted butter evenly over chicken; cover casserole.
4. Bake at 350°F 45 minutes. Remove cover; bake 30 minutes or until chicken is browned and tender.
