Pennsylvania Fruit Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups large-curd creamed cottage cheese | ||
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), broken | |
| Apple butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 1/2 cups each of 2 kinds sliced or whole fresh fruit | ||
Directions
1. In medium bowl combine cottage cheese with walnuts. Line a serving platter with lettuce; mound cottage cheese mixture in center; then top with apple butter.
2. Surround cottage cheese alternately with fruits. (For our salad, we chose peaches and bananas, but raspberries, pears, blueberries, or apricots would be nice, too.)
