Penne with Spinach and Ham Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole wheat penne pasta | 2 2/3 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked | |
| Olive oil | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1 Medium | |
| Garlic | 4 Clove (5gm), finely chopped | |
| Cherry or grape tomatoes | 1 1 /2 Cup (16 tbs), halved | |
| Cooked ham | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| White wine or water | 1 /2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Spinach leaves | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parmesan cheese | 2 Tablespoon, finely shredded |
Directions
MAKING
1 Cook and drain the pasta as per the directions given on the package excluding salt.
2 In a 10-inch nonstick skillet heat oil over medium heat.Cook onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes stirring occasionally unil onion is tender.
3 Stir in tomatoes,ham and wine.Cook and stir until some of the wine has evaporated.
4 Add the spinach and pasta.Toss gently.
SERVING
5 Sprinkle with cheese before serving.
