Penne With Mushroom And Onion Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Penne pasta | 1 Pound | |
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 3 medium onions,sliced thin | ||
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Sprig of rosemary | ||
| Shiitake mushrooms | 1 Pound, sliced | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese garnish with fresh basil | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Following the package instructions, cook penne in boiling water until al dente (firm to the bite).
Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, prepare sauce.
Heat in large skillet.
Add and cook until onions are soft.
Puree and set aside.
Cook in saucepan until mushrooms are tender, approx.5 minutes.
Add onion puree, pasta, and toss.
