Penne Marinara Recipe
Ingredients
| Olive oil | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Onions | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Capers | 1 1/2 Teaspoon, drained | |
| Garlic | 1 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Basil | 1 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Dried oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Bay leaf | 1 | |
| Tomatoes | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Black olives | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Tomato Paste | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Penne | 8 Ounce | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
| Parmesan cheese | 4 Teaspoon, grated |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Cook the penne al dente for about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
MAKING
2) In a saucepan, heat oil, saute onions on medium flame till soft. Mix in capers, garlic, basil, oregano and bay leaf and cook for a minute while stirring.
3) Add in tomatoes, olives and tomato paste. Cook for 15 more minutes, partially covered.
4) In a serving bowl, toss the pasta with the sauce and season with salt and pepper.
SERVING
5) Serve the Penne Marinara hot.
