Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F

MAKING
2. Into a bowl, sift together baking powder, flour, baking soda and salt and set aside
3. Into a large bowl, cream the shortening and sugar intil light and fluffy; blend vanilla and eggs and mix them all together to blend well
4. Add sifted dry ingredients and blend unto well blended and no dry flour shows; blend oats into it and refrigerate overnight
5. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, and roll it out on a surface lightly dusted with flour; cut into rectangles or squares
6. Place these cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet adn sprinkle salt with salt; bake for welve minutes or so until browned

SERVING
7. Serve as required
