Easy Pecan Toffee Recipe
Deliciously sweet with crunchu pecan pieces, this Pecan Toffee is one of the most irresistable desserts around! A great way to enjoy your afternoon tea or coffee, this nut toffee is so easy to make that would definitley want you to try out the recipe!
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup pecan pieces | ||
| 1 1/2 cups lightly packed brown sugar | ||
| Butter | 1/2 pound | |
| 3 squares semi-sweet chocolate | ||
Directions
Butter a 9 inch square pan.
Spread in pan, 1/2 cup pecan pieces.
Mix together in heavy pan, brown sugar and butter.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, timing 12 minutes from the time the butter is completely melted.
{Mixture will bubble most of the time.) Pour toffee mixture quickly over the nuts in pan.
Put chocolate on top immediately.
The heat of the toffee will melt them.
Spread the chocolate around to ice toffee.
Let cool completely or freeze.
Break into chunks.
