Pecan Pie Recipe
Pecan pie is a simple yet delicious pie made with pecan nuts. Sert in a pastry shell with a creamed batter of butter, eggs and sugar, the pecan pie is a quick to fix and easy dessert.
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dark corn syrup | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 3 | |
| Pecan halves | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 9 inch unbaked pastry shell | ||
Directions
Cream butter to soften.
Add sugar gradually and cream till fluffy.
Add syrup and salt; beat well.
Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each.
Stir in pecans.
Pour into unbaked pastry shell.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) 50 minutes.
Pie is done when knife inserted halfway between outside and center of filling comes out clean.
Cool before serving
