 1 x 18 cm (7 in) prepared sweet pastry case
 PECAN FILLING
 Brown sugar3 Tablespoon
 Butter30 Gram
 Vanilla essence1 Teaspoon
 Eggs2
 Golden syrup4 Tablespoon
 Plain flour1 Tablespoon, sifted
 Mixed spice1 Teaspoon
 Ground cinnamon1 Teaspoon
 Pecan nuts90 Gram, chopped

Directions

1. To make filling, beat sugar, butter and vanilla essence until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Fold through golden syrup, flour, mixed spice, cinnamon and pecan nuts.
2. Spoon filling into pastry case and bake for 35-40 minutes or until firm.
