| Pecans | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, combine flour, softened butter, and powdered sugar. Stir until mixture resembles coarse meal. Press into an ungreased 9-inch square pan. Bake 10 minutes, or until crust is lightly colored.
2. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, beat together brown sugar, com syrup, melted butter, eggs, rum, vanilla, and salt. Stir in pecans. Pour over partially baked crust.
3. Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until filling is set. Remove pan to a rack, cut into 36 bars, and let cool completely in pan before serving.
