Peas And Rice With Ham Recipe
Ingredients
| Split peas | 1 Cup (16 tbs), dried | |
| Boiling water | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Hot cooked rice | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cooked ham | 1/2 pound, diced | |
| Black pepper salt | 1 To taste |
Directions
Soak dried peas in cold water to cover for 8 hours, or overnight.
Drain; add drained peas to boiling water in deep kettle.
Cook at moderate boil for 1 1/2 hours or until tender; remove from heat.
Drain; combine with rice and ham.
Season with salt and pepper to taste
