Peas And Lettuce Soup Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 Cup cream
1/4 Cup milk
A pinch of sugar and
nutmeg
Mint leaves for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste.
250 gms. Peas
2 Tsp. butter or margarine
2 Chopped spring onions
3/4 Green lettuce leaves
2 Chicken stock cubes
1 Cup water
Directions
Melt butter, add onions and lettuce leaves.
Fry till soft, but not brown.
Add peas, salt, pepper, sugar, nutmeg, stock cubes and water.
Allow to boil, then simmer for 10 mins.
Cool a little and then add the peas with the liquid into a blender till smooth.
Add milk and cream Stir well.
Season.
Garnish with mint leaves.
Serve chilled or hot.
