Peas Roast Recipe
Impress your in-laws with this totally reliable peas roast. Foolproof food makes happy in-laws and doting spouse. Enough said. The primary ingredient in this is vegetable. A family favorite that is feasted upon every weekend, this peas roast recipe should not be missed!
Ingredients
1 pound dried split green peas
1 medium-sized onion
Water
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
2 eggs, lightly beaten

Directions
1. Pick over and wash the split peas and put them in a saucepan with the onion and water to cover. Bring to a boil, cover, and cook gently until tender, about 30 minutes.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. Drain off the excess water (and use it in soup) and puree the peas and onion in a food processor, or press through a food mill or sieve. Season with salt and marjoram.
4. Beat in the eggs and pour the mixture into an oiled 9- by 5- by 3-inch loaf pan. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the loaf is set. Let stand for 10 minutes and unmold onto a serving platter.
