Ingredients
| 6 Bosc pears, peeled, cored, and sliced | ||
| Molasses | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup port or other sweet red wine | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon, melted | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Arrange pear slices in a 13x9 inch baking dish.
Combine molasses, wine, and melted butter; drizzle over pears.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until tender, basting with molasses mixture every 10 minutes.
Remove pear slices from dish; set aside, and keep warm.
Pour molasses mixture into a small saucepan, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until thick and syrupy, stirring occasionally.
Divide pear slices evenly among 6 dessert dishes; drizzle syrup evenly over pears.
Serve warm.
