Pears In Wine Sauce Recipe

 Cinnamon sticks2

 Whole Cloves1/2 Teaspoon
 Lemon peel1/4 Teaspoon, grated
 Port wine1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water2 Tablespoon
 Apricot preserves2 Tablespoon
 2 tablespoons apricot brandy
 6 small pears, halved lengthwise, peeled, cored

Directions

Combine cinnamon, sugar, cloves, lemon, wine, water, preserves and brandy.
Arrange pears, cut-side down in 8-inch round dish.
Pour sauce over pears.
Cover completely with plastic wrap.
TO COOK BY INSTA-MATIC: Cook on COOK 8.
TO COOK BY TIME: Cook at HIGH 8 to 9 minutes.
TO COMPLETE: After cooking, release plastic wrap.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
