Homemade Pearl Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| Glutinous rice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pork | 180 Gram, minced | |
| Sesame oil | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Water chestnuts | 8 , chopped | |
| Dried shrimps | 2 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Onion | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Cornflour | 3 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 carrot, shredded, and parsley for garnish | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Rinse the rice until the water is clear.
Cover with fresh cold water and soak for 1 hour; drain well.
Beat the pork vigorously with the sesame oil, salt and pepper for 5 minutes.
Add the water chestnuts, shrimps, ginger and cornflour to the pork and mix well.
Divide into twelve and form each portion into a firm ball.
Roll in the rice until well coated.
Place on a plate allowing 1 cm (1/2 in) between each ball, and steam for 30 minutes over a high heat.
Serve garnished with carrot and parsley.
