Pear Preserves With Gelatin Recipe
Ingredients
| Pears | 3 Pound, peeled | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 box powdered pectin | ||
| 1 3-oz. box lemon gelatin | ||
| Sugar | 5 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Core and slice the pears.
Mix the pears and lemon juice and add the pectin and gelatin.
Bring to a full boil over high heat, stirring occasionally.
Add the sugar and return to a full rolling boil.
Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and skim off foam with a metal spoon.
Ladle into sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
Place lids on jars and screw band on tightly.
Invert jars until all are sealed.
Stand upright and cool.
Pears will pick up flavor of the gelatin.
