Peanut Butter Wheat Muffins Recipe
peanut butter wheat muffins is a delightful and healthy little muffin recipe that is made with whole wheat flour and peanut butter. Buttermilk, vanilla and peanut halves go into baking this kid's special muffin that is tasty and healthy.
Ingredients
11/4 cups whole-wheat flour 300 mL
1 tsp baking powder 5mL
1 tsp baking soda 5mL
1/2 tsp salt 2 mL
1/3 cup packed brown sugar 75 mL
1 egg
1/2 cup peanut butter 125 mL
1 cup buttermilk 250 mL
1/2 tsp vanilla 2mL
1/2 cup peanut halves (optional) 125 mL
Directions
In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and brown sugar.
Make a well in the center.
In another bowl, whisk together egg and peanut butter.
Whisk in milk and vanilla.
Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling cups three-quarters full.
If desired, sprinkle with peanut halves.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
