Peanut Butter Dreams Recipe
Ingredients
| Peanut butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup butter or margarine, room temperature | ||
| Light brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), lightly packed | |

| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon (Coconut-Chocolate Topping:) | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon (Coconut-Chocolate Topping:) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon (Coconut-Chocolate Topping:) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon (Coconut-Chocolate Topping:) | |
| Shredded coconut | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), flaked (Coconut-Chocolate Topping:) | |
| Semi-sweet chocolate package | 1 (Coconut-Chocolate Topping:) | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium mixing bowl, blend peanut butter, butter or margarine and brown sugar.
Stir in flour.
Turn out into an ungreased 13" x 9" baking pan.
Flatten dough with hand to cover bottom of pan.
Bake 10 minutes.
While baking, prepare Coconut-Chocolate Topping.
Spread topping on baked crust.
Return to oven; bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool slightly in pan before cutting into 1" x 3" bars.
Coconut-Chocolate Topping: In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs well.
Add brown sugar and vanilla.
Beat until blended.
Mix in flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in coconut and chocolate pieces.
