Peanut Bars Recipe
Ingredients
| Peanut butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cuphoney | ||
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Vanilla | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 cup chopped peanuts, roasted or raw | ||
| Whole wheat flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 heaping cup milk powder (1/3 heaping cup instant) | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Milk or water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Use a large mixing bowl. Cream together the peanut butter and butter. When the mixture is light, cream in the honey. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then beat in the vanilla.
Stir together the peanuts, whole wheat flour, milk powder, salt, and baking powder; add this mixture alternately with the 1/2 cup of milk to the creamed mixture.
Turn the mixture into two 9" x 9" oiled pans (or into pans of equivalent size).
Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
