Peachy Strawberry Shortcake Recipe
Ingredients
1 (10-ounce) package frozen strawberries with sugar, thawed
1 (8- to 10-ounce) package frozen peach slices, thawed
1/2 pint (1 cup) whipping cream
1 (9-inch) yellow cake layer
Directions
Drain strawberries, reserving juice.
Combine strawberries and peaches; cover.
Refrigerate.
Beat whipping cream at high speed with electric mixer until stiff peaks form; cover.
Refrigerate.
When ready to serve, cut cake into wedges; drizzle with small amount of reserved strawberry juice.
Top with fruit mixture and whipped cream.
Refrigerate leftovers.
