Peaches Zanzibar Recipe
Ingredients
| Peach halves - 1 No. 2 1/2 can | ||
| Ginger pieces | 2 | |
| Cinnamon - 2 3-inch pieces | ||
| Whole Allspice - 8 | ||
| Whole Cardamom - 4 | ||
| Whole Cloves | 6 | |
| Vanilla Ice Cream | 1 Pint | |
| Heavy cream | 1/2 Pint | |
| Red cherries | ||
| Green cherries | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Thoroughly drain the peaches.
2 Cut the ginger into small pieces
3 In a pan add the ginger with other spices to the juice.
4 Allow to simmer for 15 minutes.
5 In a baking dish, arrange peaches and pour spiced juice over the top.
6 Cover and chill for several hours or overnight.
SERVING
7 In coupe or dessert dish, put scoop of ice cream and place peach half over ice cream and spoon juice over peach.
8 Garnish with whipped cream and pieces of red and green cherries.
