 6 firm, ripe peaches, peeled
 Dry white wine2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cold water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice1 Tablespoon
 2 strips lemon peel, 2 inches long
 Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Combine wine, water, lemon juice, lemon peel and sugar.
Simmer until sugar dissolves.
Add peaches to syrup.
Bring to a boil.
Lower heat.
Simmer until peaches are tender.
Chill.
