Peaches in Honey Syrup Recipe
Ingredients
| Firm peaches - 2 large | ||
| Sugar | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Water - 5 fl oz 150ml | ||
Directions
MAKING
1 In a pan, bring water to a boil.
2 Add in the peaches and quickly blanch for a few seconds.
3 Using a slotted spoon, remove the peaches.
4 Peel the skin off the peaches, using a sharp knife.
5 Split each one in half, discarding the stone.
6 In a small pot, combine the sugar and water.
7 Boil the mixture together until the sugar dissolves.
8 Add in the peach halves and lower the heat.
9 Simmer the peach mixture for about 15 minutes'or until the peaches are tender.
10 Using a slotted spoon, gently remove the peaches.
11 Increase the heat and reduce the liquid to half.
12 The syurup must be sweet.
SERVING
13 If serving hot, pour the liquid over the peaches and serve at once.
14 If serving cold, allow the liquid cool, pour it over the peaches and refrigerate until ready to serve.
