Peach Mystery Meringue Recipe
The peach mystry meringue is a fruity meringue, filled with whipped cream, and topped with cherries or strawberries. The peach mystery meringue is good for serving as a spring or summer dessert and is delcious and juicy.

Preheat oven to 450°.
Beat 5 egg whites with 1/4 teaspoon salt till soft peaks form.
Gradually beat in 1 cup sugar; continue beating to stiff peaks (about 15 minutes).
Spread in well greased 8x8x2 inch pan.
Place in preheated oven and close door; turn off heat.
Let stand overnight or at least 5 hours before removing from oven.
To serve: Cut meringue in 6 to 8 squares.
Placed drained, canned peach half, cut side up, atop each.
Fill centers with whipped cream.
Top with sliced maraschino cherries or strawberries and California walnuts.
