Peach Crumb Pie Recipe
Peach crumb pie is a peachy and refreshing pie baked in a crumb like crust made with flour, sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Made only with canned peach halves along with lemon juice, the peach cumb pie quite a healthy dessert that can be made for a family meal.
Ingredients
1 stick pastry mix
1/2 cup enriched flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup broken California walnuts
1 No. 2 1/2 can (3 1/2 cups) peach halves
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
Prepare pastry according to package directions; line 8 inch pie plate; crimp edge.
Combine flour, sugars, and cinnamon.
With pastry blender, cut in butter till like coarse crumbs.
Add nuts to half of crumb mixture and spread in bottom of unbaked pastry shell.
Drain peaches; arrange, cut side down, over crumbs.
Sprinkle with lem on juice.
Top with remaining crumbs.
Bake at 425° about 45 minutes (cover edge of crust with foil for last 10 minutes of baking).
