Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups sliced peaches, fresh, canned or frozen
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon orangejuice
3/4 teaspoon almond extract
2 teaspoons cinnamon (optional)
1 1/2 cups rye flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
Light cream
How to make Peach Cobbler
Arrange sliced peaches in a 9 x 13inch baking dish.Mix 1 cup sugar, orange juice, and almond extract.
Sprinkle over peaches.
Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
Thoroughly mix flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, and butter or margarine.
Add egg to milk, and blend.
Stir into flour mixture only until mixed.
Spoon dough over the top of the peaches, and spread as evenly as possible.
Sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar.
Bake in a 375° F.
Oven for 20 minutes.
Serve with cream.
NOTE: Any fruit may be substituted for the peaches.
