Peach Walnut Spice Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar | ||
| Eggs | 4 standard | |
| Molasses | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Peach | 1 Large, chopped | |
| All purpose flour | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Ground cinnamon | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 large fresh peach, cut into thin slices | ||
| Whipped cream | ||
Directions
In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, then molasses.
Stir in chopped peach.
In medium bowl, combine flour, walnuts, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and salt; stir into creamed mixture.
Pour into greased and floured 9-inch square baking pan.
Bake in 350°F oven 40 to 50 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cut into squares and top with peach slices and whipped cream.
