Peach Preserves Recipe

Ingredients
4 medium peaches, peeled and cut in pieces (about 4 cups)
6 cups sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 package (3 ounces) liquid fruit pectin
Directions
1. Mix peaches, sugar and lemon juice in a 3-quart glass casserole. Cover with an all-glass lid or plastic wrap. Cook in microwave oven 14 minutes at High, or until peaches are soft and sugar is dissolved; stir every 3 minutes. (Mixture should boil at least 1 minute.)
2. Remove from oven and stir in liquid pectin. Let stand uncovered 10 minutes. Stir to distribute fruit. Pour preserves into hot sterilized jars; cover. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
