Peach Or Pear Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 quarts finely chopped, peeled peaches or pears | ||
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onions | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mustard seed | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ginger | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Hot red pepper | 1 To taste, finely chopped | |
| Vinegar | 5 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pot.
Cook slowly until thick, about 40 minutes.
Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
Pour hot into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space.
Adjust caps.
Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
