Pea And Ham Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 15 Gram | |
| Olive oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm) | |
| Onion | 1 | |
| Button mushrooms | 125 Gram | |
| Chicken stock - 4 cups / 1 litre / 1 ¾ pint | ||
| Paprika | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Celery - 3 stalks, chopped | ||
| Lettuce leaves | 10 Large, shredded | |
| Frozen peas | 250 Gram | |
| Ham - 125 grams / 4 ounce diced | ||
| Pepper red | 1/4 To taste | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Ground black pepper | 1 | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a large saucepan heat butter and oil and cook garlic, onion and mushrooms for 3 minutes.
2. Stirring in stock and paprika bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Add celery, lettuce and peas and cook for 5 minutes longer until peas are tender.
4. Stir in ham, red pepper (capsicum), parsley and black pepper to taste and cook for 3-4 minutes.
SERVING
5. Serve hot with desired garnish.
