Patafla Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 baguette or other long French loaf | ||
| 6 tomatoes, peeled and chopped | ||
| Onion | 1 , finely chopped | |
| Green onions | 6 , finely chopped | |
| 2 green peppers, seeded and chopped | ||
| 1 red pepper, seeded and chopped | ||
| Black olives | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Capers | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Gherkins | 3 , chopped | |
| Ground pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Olive oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Halve the loaf lengthwise and scoop out the inside.
Place crumbs in a bowl with vegetables, olives, capers and gherkins, stir mixture well, add pepper then stir in oil.
Divide tomato mixture between 2 bread halves.
Reassemble and wrap firmly in foil.
Refrigerate overnight.
Cut into thin slices to serve.
