Pasties Recipe
Pasties is the perfect dish for all the meat lovers. I serve this dish fro my husband during weekends when he can enjoy it in piece. This Pasties recipe is extremely easy to prepare and the end result is mouth watering.
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 3/4 Pound | |
| Oil | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Scallions | 6 | |
| 4 oz white cabbage heart | ||
| Soy sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Water | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3/4 cup hot stock or water | ||
Directions
Fry the beef in the oil for 10 minutes.
Chop the spring onions (scallions) and cabbage finely, add to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the soy sauce and salt mix well and leave until cold.
Mix the flour and egg together with enough water to make a soft dough.
Turn on to a floured surface and knead lightly.
Roll out very thinly and cut into 3 inch rounds.
Place a little of the mixture in the centre of each round; dampen the edges with water and press together to seal.
Fry the pasties in the oil for 3 minutes, turning them once during cooking.
Add the hot stock or water, cover the pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
