3/4 lb (340 g) pasta
1 pkg Fresh Basil, leaves only
1/3 cup (80 ml) pine nuts or walnuts
2 cloves garlic, peeled
1/3 cup (80 ml) olive oil
1/2 cup (120 ml) Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
2 tbs (30 ml) hot water
Directions
Bring large pot of water to a boil.
Cook pasta according to package directions while you prepare the pesto.
Place basil along with nuts and garlic in a food processor or blender and process until finely chopped.
With the machine running, pour in the olive oil in a thin stream.
Add the cheese, salt and pepper to taste, and process brieily to combine.
Thin with 2 tbs hot water.
Toss pesto with hot pasta, cooked and drained.
